The Albany State Golden Rams softball team lost (12-1) and (7-2) in an exhibition double header against the Alabama State Hornets on Wednesday afternoon at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex in Montgomery, Alabama.
In game 1, the Golden Rams surrendered 3 runs in the 1st inning and 9 runs in the 3rd inning to the Hornets. The Golden Rams lone score came in the 3rd inning when Ciweya Tennison scored on a throwing error by the Hornets.
In game 2, the Golden Rams took a (1-0) lead when Tylar Jackson hit a single to score Madison Hurt.
The Golden Rams scored their 2nd run when Romona McLeod hit a home run in the 6th inning. But, it wasn’t enough as the Hornets won game 2 (7-2).
The Golden Rams will return to action on this weekend when they host against Benedict College.
